This procedure tends to leave behind a large strip scar raised to varying degrees. Due to the nature of this type of scarring, achieving the desired result can be harder as the amount of scar tissue will determine the level of success the SMP treatment will have. Due to this results can also take longer to achieve as the technician slowly builds up layers of pigmentation to disguise the area.
